AN EFFECTIVE LIFE
Lately I’ve been pondering what it means to live an effective life. To be fully present and engaged, contributing my gifts to the world, and enjoying the abundance and happiness that come with being in the flow.
I always had the "engaged" part down pretty well, but I spent a good portion of my life along for the ride toward someone else's purpose. That blessed me with amazing adventures and relationships that were fun in the moment, but didn’t provide the profound satisfaction I now know comes with actualizing your own purpose. Searching for my purpose was arduous for me. I knew I had things to offer, but never found an outlet that felt fulfilling in return.
That all changed when I decided to drop the drama that was holding me back. Now that I’ve tapped into my purpose, and created a business that reflects it, I’m experiencing 10x more joy than I ever anticipated.
I won’t lie. It wasn’t an easy process. And, it took me awhile to get here. in fact, I spent two years kicking and screaming - in the form of hesitation, doubt, excuses, and fear.
During that time I wrestled my own demons one by one:
fear of vulnerability
fear of visibility
lack of clarity in how to blend all my offerings
how to take such a leap with no guarantee of acceptance or return on investment.
Then, little by little, my efforts were met by signs that I was on the right track, then small victories, then bigger confirmations, and even bigger victories!
Now, I can truly say i understand the difference between being engaged and being effective.
Now, I'm engaging my purpose daily, helping private coaching clients to find their purpose and highest expression.
